When two people are on a date, it is pretty obvious that they shouldn’t be flirting with others, but the rules for women in the past were more strict than we would have it today.
Back then, ladies were expected to not talk to other men at all, even if the man was their waiter! An article on Click Photo-Parade magazine suggested that in order to avoid awkward situations, women should just have their date do all the food ordering.
