Budding actors can wait years for their big break in the movie industry. By the time the 1960s began, Tate had begun auditioning for roles in Hollywood movies. Her first role came as an uncredited extra in the 1961 historical drama ‘Barabbas,’ and in 1962, another extra role beckoned.
