Tate’s career began to build momentum in 1963 when she was cast as Janet Trego in ‘The Beverly Hillbillies.’ This would bring national attention to Tate’s acting skills, and by the time she left the show in 1965, a number of film directors wanted to bring her on board.

In 1967 Tate starred in four movies, with the first of the four releases being the occult mystery ‘Eye of the Devil.’ Now the actor had the attention of Hollywood, including her future husband, Roman Polanski.
