As was pretty common during the 1960s, Sharon Tate liked to smoke. She wasn’t alone in this habit, with pretty much every actor and actress during the era sparking up on film.
While it wasn’t seen as the worst habit in the world, Tate had to hide her behavior from Polanski, who reportedly didn’t like seeing her smoke. This meant she would often have to sneak outside to enjoy her habit out of sight of her disapproving husband.
