Polanski may not have cast Tate in ‘Rosemary’s Baby,’ but he did cast his future wife in another of his films. ‘The Fearless Vampire Killers’ brought the couple together on the set as Polanski took up an acting role in the film too.
Tate wasn’t slated to star in the horror-comedy, but Polanski was convinced she would be right for the part after they met. Tate would have to wear a red wig, however, as Polanski was originally going to cast red-haired Jill St. John for the role.
