While Roman Polanski was putting together the cast for the cult horror ‘Rosemary’s Baby,’ it was understood that Tate wanted the main role. Polanski was unsure if his wife was right for the part, so he decided to wait and see if any of his producers suggested her name instead of putting her forward.
Nobody mentioned Tate as a candidate, and so Mia Farrow stepped into the role of Rosemary. While it must have been a disappointment for Tate, it seems she held no resentment while attending the ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ premiere.
