It was seeing the way that Gerda interacted with the challenges thats she was faced with which made Charlize completely fearless about that fact that she was a woman.
Growing up, Charlize did not even realize that women are not always respected across all fields – something she had to figure out and deal with only once she was in her early 20’s and on her own, venturing into the big and scary world of Hollywood.
