Things in young Charlize’s home became increasingly worse. Then, the final day of these tragic events came when Charlize was around 15 years old. Her Dad, Charles, returned home from work in quite a rage.
He was obviously armed, waving a weapon around, and was threatening both Charlize’s Mom, Gerda, as well as Charlize herself. This was the final breaking point for Gerda, to watch her husband threaten her daughter, and she courageously leapt into action.
