Back in the day, people would put a lot of effort into maintaining the things they already owned so they would last a long time, so it’s no wonder our grannies have the best homemade tips for how to clean items that look unclean-able.
If you have a burnt pan, an easy way to deal with it by filling it with water, adding 2-3 tablespoons of regular salt, mixing it well, and then boiling it for 15 minutes. Let it cool, wash as usual with water and soap, and voila!
