This is the easiest way to use a regular roll of parchment paper in a round cake tin. Cut a piece of parchment slightly larger than the tin you’ll be using, and fold it in half twice so you get a square.
Fold that diagonally, into a triangle, and again, so you get a smaller triangle. Hold it against the pan with the point end right at the middle, and trim the edges, following the edge of the pan. When you unfold the triangle, you’ll get a perfect circle.
