You know when you’re boiling an egg, and the shell cracks a little, and the egg white goes everywhere? Apparently, there’s a trick for preventing this “eggcident” from happening, and it couldn’t be any easier – it’s just a little salt.
Salting the water in which you boil the egg won’t necessarily keep it from cracking, but if it does, the salt is supposed to minimize the mess by making the egg white solidify faster. It’s not like a messy egg is a deal breaker, but we’ll keep this tip in mind.
