Our grannies know everything about how to be thrifty, and that includes finding creative uses for things we already have around the house. If you are dealing with stinky shoes, for instance, you don’t necessarily need to buy a fancy new talcum powder.
Some people swear on salt as a way to absorb the moisture and smell from stinky shoes. Another idea is to tuck a fresh dryer sheet in each shoe to mask any odors. Just remember to remove the salt and /or the sheet before you actually put on your shoes the next day.
