This awkward moment happened when Marta Stewart was asked what she thought of Gwyneth Paltrow trying to break into the “lifestyle” industry with her Goop brand. Martha did not hold back.
With an ice-cold delivery the cooking show icon said “if she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.” Perhaps a little conceited to assume every actor venturing into the lifestyle arena is trying to become Martha, but sure. Gwyneth gracefully replied she was just flattered Martha saw her as competition.
