The iconic actress Jayne Mansfield was famous for having something of a big ego, and always wanting all eyes on her. So as a result, she would often pull some pretty questionable publicity stunts. These stunts often involved “accidental” wardrobe malfunctions.
In her probably most famous one (thanks to this telling picture) Jayne attended the equally famous actress Sophia Loren’s birthday party. According to Sophia, Jayne went to sit at her table in a revealing dress so all the photographers would take her picture- rather than Sophia’s. A rude move, that clearly worked.
