The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air made Will Smith a household name, but did you know it also had him walking down the aisle? He first met Jada Pinkett, the woman he would marry in 1997, when she auditioned for the role of his girlfriend on the show.
Ironically, she lost out on the part because she was deemed too short. The role was eventually played by the only-slightly-taller Nia Long, but Pinkett got Smith’s real-life attention. Their first date was in Mexico, and they got hitched three years later.
