It was not just the fish from grocery stores being tested – some students chose to get sushi from restaurants. Eating raw fish comes with the risk of food poisoning, and so preparation of sushi and other raw fish dishes needs to be handled with care.
The restaurant’s sample was labeled as Red Tuna, however, when the results came back it was revealed that it was Tilapia instead. The students were surprised at these findings, especially because some of them had complained of stomach aches after eating from the restaurant before.
