The iconic ‘Star Wars’ actress was one of the most famous women on the planet for 40 years after starring as Princess Leia in the sci-fi film franchise. Fisher had been recast as Leia in the rebooted ‘Star Wars’ movies, giving fans a huge hit of nostalgia as they got to see their favorite characters back on screen again.
This photo was taken with a fan in London before Fisher boarded a plane to Los Angeles a day later. She would suffer a heart attack on that flight, and she passed away in the hospital four days later.
