Today, people still know and love Otis Redding classics such as Try a Little Tenderness and Sitting on the Dock of the Bay. What people don’t know is that this soul master passed away before the song Sitting on the Dock of the Bay was released.
This is because he was involved in a serious plane crash, which resulted in the loss of his and his band’s life. Posthumously, his track made it to the billboards and was being played by Christmas. He passed away in December 1967.
