John Lennon was one of the most famous men in the world thanks to his time as one of The Beatles. The man in this photograph is ultimately the one who shot him just hours later.
Lennon lost his life in 1980 at the age of 40 after Mark David Chapman decided to end the rock and pop star’s life. The Beatles legend was shot multiple times as Chapman reportedly just calmly sat beside his victim, waiting for the police officers to show up.
