A quickly rising star on her way to world domination, Grammy Award winning Aaliyah left the world too soon when the plane she was in crashed shortly after take off, claiming her life and the lives of the eight other on board.
She was in the Bahamas to shoot the video for her single Rock the Boat, and the accident happened as they were making their way back to the United States. The picture on the right is said to have been taken shortly before she boarded the plane.
