Lucille Ball will forever be remembered as Lucy Ricardo, the loveable but accident-prone protagonist in the family comedy series ‘I Love Lucy.’ She reprised this role many times in her career and was a huge part of American culture for many years.
At the age of 77, Lucille Ball lost her life and passed away following an aortic rupture in 1989. This is believed to have been her final public appearance as she walked the red carpet of the Academy Awards. Just a month after appearing at the Oscars Ball passed away at her home in Los Angeles.
