Glen had heard about Lee prior to meeting him, and after the two of them got talking by a chance meeting in an airport terminal, Glen realized that Lee would be perfect for the role.
After reading the script and having further discussions on what he could bring to the character, Lee signed a contract and agreed to take on the role. Things were now starting to take shape, and it wasn’t long before filming began. However, the pilot would go on to be very different from the rest of the series.
