Funny Snapchats shared online from good and bad parents

Being a parent can definitely have its fair share of challenges – and sometimes, things happen in our lives that are so comical – that we just have to capture the moment on Snapchat.

Oh well

Any new parent can probably relate to having very limited time with two free hands. Having a newborn baby at home means often holding them in your arms or on your lap. And as much as we love those cuddly moments with our babies, it can also be difficult doing basic things, like eating.

Oh well

When this dad tried to enjoy some chips and dip while holding his baby girl, he accidentally dropped some of it on her head. Without a napkin nearby, he had to do some improvising.

Twinning

Ever since Snapchat first came out with the well-adored Face Swap filter, parents everywhere have been using the opportunity to swap the faces of their kids with their own, and vice versa.

Twinning

The result is often quite hilarious, as one can imagine, especially if it is a dad with a beard trying to prove that his daughter looks like him. We don’t know whether we should laugh, cry, or be frightened by this epic swap.

Interesting instructions

Teddy Grahams are a delicious and popular snack for kids and adults alike. When this wife left her husband with their toddler alone for the day, she knew she had to leave a note on the box that would catch his attention.

Interesting instructions

So, instead of just telling the dad to break each snack in half before serving it to their 14-month-old, she used a bit of gory detail. We may never look at Teddy Grahams the same way.

Taken literally

Sometimes, parents are too funny – and too witty – for their own good. Take this dad, for example, who tried to give their son exactly what he asked for for his birthday.

Taken literally

This kid asked for “cold hard cash” and it was exactly what he got, cash in a block of ice. He may have to wait a bit for it to melt, but hey, it’s the thought that counts! Unfortunately, this kid seems less than amused at his dad’s joke.

All made up

This mom was either bored, or just felt like being creative because she decided to do this to her baby and share it with all the world. Yup, she gave her baby a ‘makeover’ via Snapchat.

All made up

While there is something a bit unsettling about seeing a baby with mascara, lipstick, eye shadow, and oddly-shaped penciled eyebrows…we have to give this mom at least a little bit of credit for her Snapchat drawing skills which are truly quite impressive.

Pretty much invisible

Sometimes, kids can be just plain hilarious without even trying to be. Take this kid, for example, who was really trying his best to make himself unseen during a game of hide and seek with his mom.

Pretty much invisible

However, he might have forgotten a pretty key part of the game which is, you know, to not be seen. As long as he thinks he found a good hiding spot that is all that really matters though, right?

Be right back

When this mom asked her son to put clothes on so he could help her do some work in the yard, she probably wasn’t imagining that he would come back dressed like this.

Be right back

Not sure if a Halloween dragon costume is the best choice for cleaning up the backyard but this kid certainly seemed to think so. Also, it is super adorable, so maybe just let him enjoy feeling like a dragon for a day?

Darth’s biggest fan

One popular trend that has been taking over Snapchat involves parents sharing photos of their kids mid meltdown with a brief explanation of why they are so upset.

Darth’s biggest fan

Of course, some were more funny – and random – than others, like this little girl for example who is a big fan of Darth Vader. The only thing is, she had no idea that he is actually the bad guy in the Star Wars series, and she was clearly heartbroken after hearing the news.

Copycat dad

Since the early days of Snapchat, one of the most popular filters is of course the iconic flower crown glam-up. While users all over the world have been using this filter in order to feel like a goddess and get some digital makeup for their selfies, this dad decided he didn’t need the filter at all.

Copycat dad

Instead, he recreated his daughter’s Snapchat by making a lovely crown of flowers that he made all by himself.

Dirty laundry

We all get a bit nervous when we see our parents have joined Snapchat. This means that they can see what we have been up to and where we have been, and not to mention all of the embarrassing selfies we like to keep far away from our moms and dads. This daughter, however, had something else to worry about.

Dirty laundry

When her mom finally joined Snapchat, instead of creeping on her social life  or stalking her whereabouts, she kept sending her photos of dirty clothes left on the ground that she still hasn’t picked up.

Caught in a lie

This mom was caught being devious on Snapchat by her daughter. While this may look like a normal everyday post of someone in the office, this woman’s daughter quickly called her mother out for trying to look like a ‘cool mom’ on social media.

Caught in a lie

Not only does the mom apparently not have a job, the screen also appears to be turned off, so we aren’t really sure what she was trying to prove – it’s still hilarious, nonetheless.

Looking Sharpie

Sometimes, we just have no idea why kids do the things they do. Like seriously, where do they come up with these things? Take this little girl, for example, who decided to color all over her face with not washable markers…but with a permanent Sharpie!

Looking Sharpie

Oh well, at least this mom was able to find some humor in the situation, although we aren’t really sure how she is planning on getting that off her face.

Insincere apology

When this mom asked her daughter to write her an apology letter after some bad behavior, she did exactly that. The only problem was, that she still didn’t understand why she needed to apologize in the first place. She still wrote the letter though, as snarky as it may have sounded.

Insincere apology

She may not have gotten the apology she wanted, but at least this mom got to make a hilarious Snapchat post out of it!

Nice meal out

Anyone who has a kid surely knows the struggles of going out to eat. Even if you go to their favorite family-friendly restaurant and order all their favorite things, there is still a big chance that they will eventually lose their patience and have a public meltdown.

Nice meal out

While public temper tantrums are never much fun for any parent to endure, we can’t help but laugh at the situation sometimes, especially when their toddler is siting like this at the table.

A bit dramatic

As adorable and precious as our kids may be, all it takes is one small thing to go wrong and they can turn into screaming little monsters. Let’s face it, they can be pretty dramatic when they want to be.

A bit dramatic

After spending a good amount of time and effort into her and her daughter’s coordinating Mickey Mouse Halloween costumes, she still didn’t really get the photo she expected and hoped for. Well, there’s always next year!

Just savage

Moms can be loving, supportive, and yes – sometimes even a little savage like this one who sent this witty Snapchat to her own son. We have to definitely give this mom some credit for her level of cleverness, though, because this is just so amazing on so many levels.

Just savage

We are also pretty sure the son found some humor in it too and didn’t take his mom’s diss too personally, at least we hope this is the case.

Some miscalculation

Sometimes, dads have ideas that sound good in their head, but just end up being straight up dangerous. Take this dad, for example, who probably didn’t think this particular move through very well.

Some miscalculation

He thought that it would be a good idea to pretend to be Tarzan while swinging across a pool of foam cubes with his daughter on his shoulders, the only problem, she fell right off. Thankfully, she had a soft landing – and it was caught on camera for everyone to later see.

Going shopping

Shopping with kids is something that most people can agree is a bit of a challenge to say the least. Long gone are the days when we could just take our time strolling through the supermarket, without a worry in the world while patiently picking out what we needed.

Going shopping

Most kids, unfortunately, find going out to buy groceries very boring, meaning they may at times act out, like this kid who has found a nice place to rest during a particularly dull shopping outing at Walmart.

Face paint

Getting our faces painted at birthday parties and events was pretty much the greatest thing ever when we were kids. While superheroes and cute animals are often go-tos when it comes to face-painting for kids, this little boy had a different idea in mind. Instead, he wanted to be made into a traffic light.

Face paint

Luckily, this mom caught the humorous and super adorable moment on camera and shared it with all her friends on Snapchat.

Couch potato

Every now and then, our kids can do weird things that can completely freak us out. Like this mom who walked in on her son just hanging out and watching TV while looking like half of him got eaten by the sofa.

Couch potato

The best part of it is that the kid literally looks unphased like he has no idea why his mom is looking at him strange. After recovering from a brief shock, the mom was luckily able to capture the whole thing on Snapchat.

Feeling misled

Caramel apples have been a popular snack at festivals and carnivals for many years. And while some people can’t get enough of the apple caramel combination, kids may be disappointed to find out that there is actually fruit inside this misleading dessert.

Feeling misled

By the look of this kid’s face, he was definitely not pleased after feeling like he had been tricked by his parents into eating a ‘nutritious’ apple. Still, it made for quite the hilarious Snapchat post.

Change of heart

Anyone who spends time with kids will probably know the fact that kids can just be super indecisive when it comes to pretty much everything. While they may make it clear exactly what it is they want one minute, they might completely change their mind the next – and might just have a meltdown because of it.

Change of heart

Like this kid, who had an all-out breakdown for 20 minutes because he wanted to play with the pink bus, only to go into full temper tantrum mode after getting it because he ‘doesn’t like pink.’

Beach day

As much as we love our kids, we can’t help but laugh at their stubbornness. And let’s face it, sometimes they just really want something that is truly unreasonable, like this adorable toddler who just wanted to go for a swim in the ocean, can we blame him for that?

Beach day

Typically, this wouldn’t be a problem, except for the fact that he doesn’t know how to swim yet and it is the middle of winter.

Late-night message

When our moms get a hold of Snapchat, there is no knowing what kind of amusing Snapchats they may send you. This daughter got quite an alarming Snapchat from her mom one night and didn’t really know what to think of it.

Late-night message

Looks like mom was just having a fun night out – isn’t it great when our moms have a more active social life than we do? We are just glad she shared this iconic moment.

We have a visitor

Is it just us, or is this mom not having the best day? The morning routine is hard enough as it is as we try to scramble the kids lunches and get them dressed and ready for school – but when a large turkey randomly sits on top of your car – you might have to reevaluate your plans.

We have a visitor

Let’s just hope the turkey wobbled away so the family could carry on with their busy day – after capturing the moment on Snapchat of course.

Let me explain

Once we have kids, we can pretty much say goodbye to a perfectly clean house – and that’s something that most parents grow to accept. Still, we can’t help but cringe a little when our kids suddenly pour the whole bag of flour all over the kitchen floor – and themselves.

Let me explain

However, it is impossible not to laugh at this kid who was caught in the act, with a truly hilarious face that reads, ‘just let me explain.’

Friendly reminder

Our parents always just want what is best for us, which is why they are often checking to make sure we are getting enough sleep and taking good care of ourselves. They also would probably like to be assured every now and then that we are eating our fruit and vegetables.

Friendly reminder

So when this mom signed up for Snapchat, she decided to use the opportunity to send daily healthy-eating reminders to her daughter – you know, just to make sure.

Peppa and chill

We have all heard of the phrase Netflix and chill, but what about Peppa and chill? While people who don’t spend a lot of time with kids may have no idea what this means, most parents of toddlers are familiar with the famous Peppa Pig – which young kids everywhere seem to be obsessed with.

Peppa and chill

So naturally, this dad thought he would make a humorous Snapchat dedicated to his son’s devotion to the iconic cartoon character. The result was pretty hilarious, if we do say so ourselves.

Embarrassing dad

Let’s face it, dads can be painfully embarrassing. But they can also be pretty hilarious – like this dad who went all out in order to recreate his daughter’s Snapchat selfie.

Embarrassing dad

And we mean all out – not only did he sport a similar tank top and make a crown of leaves for his head, he also wore a similar choker necklace and even recreated her tattoos. The result was truly comical, although we aren’t sure we can say his daughter felt the same way.

Just like mommy

Many little girls look up to their mom, and want to be and act just like them. This might mean dressing up like them, or even putting on makeup just like theirs – as was in this case. This daughter, for example, really wanted to put on makeup “just like her mommy.”

Just like mommy

For some reason, we have a feeling mommy doesn’t actually wear hot pink lipstick all over her face – although we certainly hope that is the case.

Hide and seek

This kid’s hide and seek skills may be questionable, although we definitely need to give him A for effort. There are only so many places we can hide in the backyard after all, and he seemed to pick a pretty reasonable hiding place if you ask us.

Hide and seek

We just wonder how long this mom pretended not to see him before finally acting surprised by his clever hiding place. We are just glad she shared it on social media.

Sad Grandma

Will parents using Snapchat filters ever not be funny? We don’t think so. Take this dad, for example, who used the Grandma filter only to come up with this awesome result.

Sad Grandma

To make the Snapchat even more perfect, he used it to tell his kid that they better keep up with their studies or else they may have to deal with him as a sad grandma – something none of us really wants to witness again.

Angry pumpkin

The Face Swap filter is another one that has a pretty good track record of being funny, but it can also sometimes get a little weird.

Angry pumpkin

Like this mom and her baby, for example, who could have just taken a nice Fall selfie to share on their social media or send to their friends family members. Instead, this awesome mom swapped their faces, while making a pretty interesting face herself. And the result is, well…interesting.

Cool mom

This has to be one of the greatest mom Snapchats ever made. Not only is her name ‘Birthgiver,’ but she also makes stories like this one, where she is getting thrown piles of 100 dollar bills by her cartoon self while enjoying a nice drink and some alone time.

Cool mom

While her daughter may have found it embarrassing and cheesy, we are a bit envious of this mom’s level of chill if we are really being honest.

No way out

We aren’t sure exactly how this happened, but somehow this mom’s daughter managed to get stuck inside of a mall shoe store. Of course, plenty of questions arise. For one, did the store employee not notice she was in there before closing the doors?

No way out

And why is she in there alone? Luckily, the mom was able to find some humor in the situation – although we don’t think we can say the same for the girl.

When ya gotta go…

As any parent knows, kids can be pretty firm about setting their own boundaries and speaking their minds. This child was probably asked several times by his parents if he needed to go, but he told them time and again that he didn’t. Unfortunately for this dad, he fell for his son’s ruse and paid the ultimate price for it: a wet stain down the back of his shirt. Well, maybe next time they won’t believe their son if he says no?

When ya gotta go…

Completely invisible

Kids are so great, aren’t they? They may not automatically understand the rules of popular games that like you like to play with them, but they still want to participate. This little boy was taught the general idea of how to play hide-and-go-seek, and while his mother’s back was turned and she counted to ten, he looked around for the perfect hiding spot. Well, you gotta hand it to him. Maybe it’s not the best spot, but it sure is creative!

Completely invisible

Going for a swim

Kids are notorious for getting into all sorts of hijinks. You turn your back for just thirty seconds, and they’ve found something new to get into. This kid’s mother wasn’t sure what she was going to find when she heard her son crying, but when she went looking for him, you can be sure she was surprised by what she found. All you can do is shake your head and laugh, because kids really are little mischief makers.

Going for a swim

What could go wrong?

This person’s boss decided that they were going to bring their child with them to work. Perhaps their babysitter couldn’t come out today, or maybe they just wanted to spend some more time bonding with their son. Either way, they probably didn’t doubt that they’d have their hands full when they toted him along to work with them that day. That said, they probably didn’t anticipate him making goofy faces against the glass at their employees, though. Good thing the little guy is such a charmer!

What could go wrong?

Is this seat taken?

When kids wake up in the morning, you can be sure they don’t think to themselves, “Hmm, how can I be as cute as possible today?” Of course, they don’t have to consciously think about being adorable. It just happens naturally to them! This boy’s parents were probably a little worried about taking their son on a long-distance flight with them, but they didn’t need to worry. He’s more interested in charming his seat-mates with his cute little smile than being fussy.

Is this seat taken?

They have a bright future

When a parent has a young child, it’s pretty natural to daydream and wonder what they’ll be when they grow up. Will they become a doctor, saving lives on a daily basis? Will they become a lawyer, fighting injustices in the court of law? This child has her sights set on a whole other career entirely. Based on that bottle of ketchup splattered all over herself and the table, she no doubt has a budding career in special effects!

They have a bright future

A subtle, yet important, difference

It’s a given: little kids like to color. Whether it’s crayons, markers, colored pencils, or paint, if you give them a blank canvas and an artistic media, they’ll get right to work. This kid, though, quickly learned that not all markers are the same, and neither are all canvases. Indeed, there is a huge difference between watercolor markers and permanent markers, and the serious scrub down this unimpressed son got after this snap was taken probably taught him a valuable lesson.

A subtle, yet important, difference

The longest 25 minutes of his life

When you’re young, life can be so full of disappointment. Imagine, if you will, how this little boy must be feeling right now. It had to have been quite the rollercoaster of emotions. First, his mom told him that he was getting cinnamon rolls. What? That’s awesome! Cinnamon rolls are so yummy. But then there came the bad news: cinnamon rolls take time to bake. A whole 25 minutes of time, in fact. Cue the meltdown and the understandable heartbreak.

The longest 25 minutes of his life

Color him impressed

Let’s be honest with each other here. When it comes to children and birthdays, we all readily admit that the first birthday party is more for us than for our child. They don’t really understand what the hype about birthdays is until they’re at least four or five years old. (Cake! Ice cream! Presents!) This parent went ahead with their son’s birthday party nonetheless, and while he seemed to enjoy the cake, he probably thought the rest of the event was so boring.

Color him impressed

They’re beautiful children

Some parents are proud to report that they raised humble, modest children. This parent, though? Okay, maybe her children aren’t as humble as she might have hoped. In the foreground, we have the precious daughter smiling as she clutches a picture frame, clearly convinced that she’s the model in the picture. Then in the background, we have her son giving smooches to his reflection in the mirror. To be fair, though, they are pretty adorable kids. If they happen to be proud of their appearance, then more power to them.

They’re beautiful children

He’s been waiting foreverrr

Even the most calm, tranquil person can quickly grow upset if they get hungry. The word “hangry” exists for a reason, right? This kid is clearly starving, and he wants his dinner now. Alas, his meal is still finishing up in the oven, so he’s going to have to continue to wait for his supper. That’s not going to stop him from sobbing in front of the stove, though, with his little fork clutched in his hand.

He’s been waiting foreverrr

A harsh reality

The first day of school can be so exciting. If you remember your first day of kinder, then you can probably recall how thrilled you were to be getting a brand new backpack and new crayons and the promise that you’re going to be making some new friends. And you can be sure parents are delighted by this, too. Sweet freedom! This little girl, though, has just found out that she has a whopping seventeen years of school left ahead of her…and she’s clearly not happy about it.

A harsh reality

Like mother, like son

When a parent looks at their child, they often probably start mentally cataloguing all of the different quirks of their son or daughter to see what they inherited from themselves. That adorable gap-toothed smile? Totally their dad’s. Those precious blue eyes? Yep, came from their mother. What about their unique personalities and their tendency to get their heads stuck in lounge chairs? Based on this silly mishap alone, this parent has no doubt that this is their son.

Like mother, like son

Cotton stick to the rescue

Being a parent requires a little bit of — shall we say — ingenuity. As parents, you gotta think on your feet and always be prepared for whatever unexpected hiccups that life throws at you. This mother was driving her car when her daughter spontaneously got a nosebleed. While that can be a little bit scary, this mother was able to react quickly and resolve the situation right away. Fortunately, she had a cotton stick on hand to help her daughter, and her kid was none the wiser.

Cotton stick to the rescue

He is so busted!

As a kid, it can be downright unfair to be sent to bed early while your parents get to stay up and watch TV without you. This son was probably tired of pouting from his bedroom and decided that tonight was the night: he was going to wait for his parents to fall asleep and take his chance. Ever-so-sneakily, he grabbed his favorite snack and the remote, then turned on his cartoons while his parents were unaware. Well, that didn’t last long…and the stunned look on his face shows he didn’t expect to get caught!

He is so busted!

Maybe not a future in sports?

Signing your child up for extracurriculars is a smart idea all around. Not only does it help teach them necessary life skills (like teamwork and sharing), it also gets them out of the house and helps them burn off some energy. To commemorate signing their daughter up for basketball, these parents sprung for some team pictures. Suffice to say, the daughter wasn’t feeling too thrilled about this, and her crying face says all you need to know about her opinion of basketball.

Maybe not a future in sports?

Yeah, a six-foot rabbit’ll do that

As adults, we sometimes fail to see the obvious stuff that’s right in front of us. Take, for instance, the Easter bunny. Who doesn’t love the idea of a seasonal rabbit bringing us a basket of treats and goodies each year? Well, to a child, this seemingly benign icon of the spring season can come across as completely different. Maybe dressing someone up as an oversized rabbit and introducing him to a bunch of toddlers wasn’t the best idea, as this parent quickly learned.

Yeah, a six-foot rabbit’ll do that

Hanging by their drawers

Children are amazing. They’re smart, they’re inquisitive, and they learn so fast. It’s like they’re little sponges, soaking up the world as they grow. This child, though, isn’t just smart. She’s rather creative, as well. While some kids get into normal mishaps, this child somehow managed to take it a little further. She somehow figured out how to climb up on the kitchen counter…then promptly fell off it, hooking her pants on the handle of the drawer. On the upside, the drawer broke her fall. On the downside, she’s never going to live this down.

Hanging by their drawers

Gone fishin’

As a mother, there are a few things that you probably try to keep away from your children. In this case, it makes perfect sense to hide your personal belongings beneath the sink and cross your fingers that your kids don’t discover them. This son, though, wasn’t deterred by his mother’s hidden stash of monthly supplies. He wanted to take his mom’s fishing rods with him into the bathtub and so, grabbing a handful of them and unwrapping them, he did.

Gone fishin’

The ultimate betrayal

If you’re not a parent, then there’s something that you should be aware of if you’re thinking about having kids. When you become a mother or a dad, you immediately relinquish your rights to your real name. Whether you were born Bob, Susie, Betty, or Helen…you can kiss your name goodbye the moment you bring your child home. And if you do try to reclaim your real name? Oh, you don’t want to do that, unless you want to see your child have a meltdown like this little girl did.

The ultimate betrayal

The outrage!

When it comes to negative experiences, very few things compare to being hungry. Even the kindest, sweetest, and most friendly people can quickly turn sour when their stomach starts to growl. And woe betide anyone who tries to take something off your plate without asking first. This little boy was so hungry and he was ready to dig in…when the microwave stole his lunch from him and ate it! His meltdown is totally justified. If we thought someone took our food from us, we’d be pretty darn upset, too.

The outrage!

Do you know the muffin man?

Sometimes the most wonderful experiences in life are all too fleeting. Take, for instance, a beautiful sunrise. While dazzling, it lasts only a few minutes. The good news is, though, that the sun will rise again tomorrow. But a bag of muffins? Once they’re gone, they’re gone forever. At least, that’s what this brokenhearted little boy thought. And as much as his mother tried to explain it to him, he wasn’t having the fact that he was the person who ate all of the muffins from the bag.

Do you know the muffin man?

Snacktime is over

Some foods make the perfect snack for children. Animal crackers? Both adorable and tasty. Pureed peas? Maybe not so yummy, but definitely nutritious. But you know what probably doesn’t make a very balanced meal for your little one? A foam football. Sadly, as much as this parent tried to explain that their toy wasn’t a treat, their son wasn’t going to listen. He didn’t want a handful of cookies or some peas, he wanted that football and nothing else would satisfy his hunger.

Snacktime is over

Let them eat dirt

Kids aren’t exactly known for their refined palates. For the first few months of their lives, they’re pretty much content to live off a steady diet of milk or formula. Then, as a parent, you’ll slowly start to introduce solid foods to them. In turn, they’ll let you know what they enjoy eating and what they’re not so fond of. Pureed bananas may get a smile, while carrots may earn you a yuck face. This child, though, had an appetite for something a little bit different, and had to be told that dirt wasn’t on the menu tonight.

Let them eat dirt

An unusual choice in pets

Getting your first pet is a rite of passage. For many families, it’s a huge event, involving going to the local animal shelter and picking out a puppy or a kitten together. This child, though, didn’t want either of those options. He had his eyes — and his heart — set on this crustacean. Sadly, lobsters don’t make very good pets. We like to think that this day ended with the parents returning the lobster to the store, with a promise that they’ll go to the animal shelter the next day to pick out a real pet together.

An unusual choice in pets

How supervillians are made

Some heroes are born. Others are forged out of necessity and rise to the occasion when their city calls upon them. For this boy, though, he decided to bypass all the unwritten rules of what makes a superhero. He tried to take matters into his own hands and color in his skin to turn himself into an incredible superhero, but he was soon informed that green feet did not automatically make him a hero. We just hope that this doesn’t make him go off in the other direction and turn him into a villian!

How supervillians are made

It’s how the cracker crumbles

To put it mildly, life is full of difficulties and hardships. Every child must learn one day that their parents can’t fix everything, no matter how much they want them to. This child presented his broken cracker to his mother, fully hoping and expecting that she’d be able to pull a Humpty Dumpty on his snack and put it back together again. His hopes were dashed, though, when his mother broke the somber truth to him: the poor cracker just couldn’t be repaired.

It’s how the cracker crumbles

Well, that socks

Kids develop the most interesting fixations on the most random of things, and this picture is a prime example of that. Did this boy make a beeline for a wagon full of toys or candy? Nope, he spied a cart full of pink socks and immediately wanted them all for himself. Who knows what he had hoped to do with all of those socks, but we will never know. His watchful parent put a stop to his intent to march off with those socks, and an epic meltdown in the store was the only logical response.

Well, that socks

Knock-knock! (Who’s there?)

Children have a funny way of making their own lives more difficult than they should be. This little girl had a clear entryway into her house, but she wasn’t going to waste her time on the boring door. She wanted to go through the doggy door. Much to her disappointment, she didn’t fit, so she instead had a fit. Of course, if she had just used the regular door (which was right next to her and wide open!) she could’ve avoided the tears altogether.

Knock-knock! (Who’s there?)

Would she prefer it was scratchy?

Children have very strong opinions on a variety of things. When you ask them what their favorite color is, they’ll tell you firmly and without hesitation. And when you tell them that their sweater looks so soft and so comfy, you better watch out. If they have already decided that it’s a rough and uncomfortable sweater, they may take remiss to your remarks. You know what? Just to be safe, you probably shouldn’t comment on your daughter’s fashion choices at all.

Would she prefer it was scratchy?

The jaws of life

When a child gets an idea in his head, they’re determined to follow it through to the very end. This little boy decided that his toy dinosaur needed to bite his Lego’s head, and he was committed to making sure that the jaws of the T-rex fit securely around his Lego. It didn’t take him long to realize that his dino had bitten off more than he could chew, and the tears of frustration and disappointment soon followed this discovery.

The jaws of life

A little fashionista

For some people, staying on trend comes naturally to them. They have a carefully curated closet of haute couture, and they’re not afraid to show off their stylin’ threads. This little girl, though, has no such wardrobe. She took one peek into her chest of drawers and had an immediate meltdown. Obviously there’s only one solution to her conundrum: she needs access to her parents’ credit card STAT and a shopping spree at the nearest fashion boutique!
