There were a lot of questions raised about the entire cast of Exodus: Gods and Kings… Not least because people thought Ridley Scott had whitewashed the whole thing.
However, while some of the actors seemed to get away with it, Christian Bale was called out for his part as Moses. His moody delivery may have worked well in some of his other movies, but it just didn’t seem to work in this one, according to the critics.
