Yet another decision by M. Night Shyamalan that just didn’t go to plan. When he cast Mark Wahlberg as Elliott Moore in The Happening, it changed the whole premise of the movie. It was meant to be serious and disturbing, but turned into a hilarious comedy.
Unfortunately, no one could take Wahlberg seriously, which was the reason the movie failed massively. Hopefully, in the future, he will think twice about taking on such a serious role.
