We are beginning to think that Hollywood doesn’t have any real elderly actors, given what happened in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus. When they cast Guy Pearce as Peter Weyland, we were more distracted by the amount of makeup he wore to look old.
This was disappointing because it could have potentially been a huge success. Even Pearce himself wondered why they used him when they could have used another talented, but older actor like Ian McKellen to play the part.
