So what’s the real difference between coins and cash? Some people might say that there’s absolutely no difference, and when it comes to actual worth, they would be right. (Example: four quarters is worth just as much as one dollar bill.)
However, what about those extra ‘costs,’ like the time it takes to actually count out the coins? After all, they say that time is money. While we’re not saying what the restaurant did was right (absolutely not!), we are considering their overall sentiment.
