[post_page_title]Harry is still in line for the throne[/post_page_title]
Despite losing his title as His Royal Highness, the Duke of Sussex will still remain as the sixth in line to the throne. This has to do with the fact that the positioning of the monarchy is based on legislation meaning the government is the one who would have to step in and remove someone from the list.

It would take an act of Parliament in order to remove someone from the line of succession, which is very rare and only happened once before – in 1936 when former King Edward VIII denounced his position so he could marry an American divorcee, Wallis Simpson.
