As senior royals, Meghan and Harry, along with Prince William and Kate Middleton, were responsible for many official engagements. Not only did the couple carry out royal tours on behalf of the queen, they also were responsible for the events of many organizations and charities. Each senior royal has a charity focus, with Kate Middleton’s being early childhood development and Prince William’s mental health.
For Harry it was environmental causes and for Meghan, gender equality. Now that they are no longer royals, their royal duties will likely be passed on to other members of the family.
