Now that they are no longer senior royals, they no longer have an official office at the Buckingham Palace – as they maintained prior to their departure. In January, the decision was made to close their Institutional Office, resulting in the loss of jobs for the staff members who were working there.
On the Sussexes’ website, the couple stated that they had “shared this news with their team personally” beforehand and have “worked closely with their staff to ensure a smooth transition for each of them.”
