There wasn’t one kid back in the day that didn’t obsess over the mechanical pencil. The regular yellow pencils were fine, but the mechanical one was what all the cool kids were using. You had lead that came it it’s own box that you put inside when the pencil ran out.
What was even more exciting, was that you could push all of the lead out at once. Some of us even went a step further and pretended they were giving themselves a shot with the pencil. Sounds like future doctors to us!
