What did that poor eraser do to you? We can’t even begin to come up with a logical explanation as to why some kids do this except that maybe stabbing the eraser creates some kind of soothing sensation as the pencil sinks in.
As seen in photo, someone stabbed this pink eraser and it’s filled with many pencil marks. Honestly, this behavior may just be out of pure boredom. Thankfully it doesn’t extend past childhood.
