True to the premise we’ve been following, this IS a pretty bad description of Disney and Pixar’s Up. For starters, Carl never tried having Russell replace his late wife – he didn’t even know he was there when he left for South America.

Still, this description is less Paradise Falls and more Horrible Nightmare Falls. Suddenly, Up isn’t the heartwarming tale of an elderly curmudgeon fulfilling his and his wife’s lifelong dream, but rather some kind of psychological horror flick. This is the kind of movie even Lars von Trier would be too afraid to make.
