Sure, when Riley is controlled by physical manifestations of her emotions it’s the feel-good movie of the year, but when Pazuzu tells us to bite people on public transportation we get locked away. Is that fair? That’s not fair.
Joking aside, Inside Out took one heck of a serious gamble by having almost all of the action take place inside a kid’s head. Even if some of the stuff went over the head of particularly young audience members, parents felt like the movie should be charging them by the hour.
