[post_page_title]As NOT seen on National Geographic[/post_page_title]
The Jungle Book, based on Rudyard Kipling’s timeless book about British imperialism, has been a beloved classic since it came out in 1967. It’s such a classic, in fact, that in 2016 Disney decided they need to punish us with a completely unnecessary live-action remake.

Our undying hatred of their live-action versions aside, this is actually a pretty good sum-up of what’s happening in the movie. From this perspective, it’s really the breathtaking chronicle of a small child NOT being devoured, or at least mauled, by a series of feral jungle predators.
