Despite the name before the colon, Captain America: Civil War is about the entire cadre of Avengers and the schism that arises as a result of the Sokovia Accords. Equal parts fun popcorn flick and civics homework, the movie examines what happens when government oversight tries to regulate superhero work.
To be fair, it’s more interesting than that sounds. One of the movie’s highlights is the battle between Iron Man and the duo of Captain America and Bucky, two very old men ganging up on an orphan. Man, looking at it like that, Marvel’s movies are really weird.
