You know, it just occurred to us that Disney’s 1997 cinematic version of the story of the famous Greek demigod Hercules is incredibly similar to Superman’s origin story.
Everyone in the world knows it – a super-powered baby who lost his birth parents is raised by two regular humans, who teach him the values of humility and compassion. Except in Disney’s Hercules, the hero learns none of that stuff and ditches both of them just as soon as he realizes he’s the biological son of two gods. So almost the same, we guess.
