This description somehow pulls off the high-wire act of simultaneously describing Toy Story 3’s plot while also sounding like a total Oscar bait movie starring Tommy Lee Jones and Frances McDormand. Well, joke’s on you, hypothetical movie we just made up!
The actual Toy Story 3 WAS nominated for a Best Picture Oscar and did actually win Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. It also boasts the unique characteristic of making us cry our eyes out by so much as seeing the movie’s poster, so there’s that.
