It really seems like this description shouldn’t apply to any movie whatsoever, let alone an Academy Award-winning classic like WALL·E, which some critics called the best movie of 2008. But what do you know, it does fit.
It’s so funny that we can almost forgive it for selling short a movie so multifaceted that it tackles over-consumption and obesity, while still appealing to children of all ages AND having almost no dialogue for large parts of it. That’s a balancing act that probably no other studio could maintain.
