If you’re looking to be friends with the Queen, you better have two things to offer. One, having some type of political or royal title doesn’t hurt. Two, and most importantly, you need to have a love of horses. Penelope Knatchbull fits both of those bills.
Her official title is the Countess Mountbatten of Burma, and she and the Queen definitely bond over their equestrian interests. She can often be seen hanging with her out in public, but definitely keeps busy working for her charity when she’s off on her own.
