While many people have a double garage that they can make use of, there are others who have to try and squeeze their car into a rather small single garage. Of course, getting in through the main door is just half the issue, because opening the car door while trying not to hit the wall isn’t an easy task.
To protect your garage walls and your car doors themselves, you can stick a pool noodle to the wall, so at least you’ll hit something soft and squishy if you do hit it.
