While the doctors understood Keri and Royce’s decision and were supportive throughout the entire process, Keri was concerned what other people would say to her. She imagined strangers coming up and asking her whether she was having a boy or a girl.
She thought of others asking if they’d finished the nursery. Every day was a challenge, but she stayed strong and brave through it all. She knew that if her daughter Eva could save even one life, then it was all worth it.
