In Royce’s mind, when he heard that his daughter was terminal, he admitted that he just assumed she was already dead. In Keri’s mind, she immediately thought of the opportunity of saving other lives with their child’s organs. That way something positive would come out of this.
That was where they got the idea for the name Eva. To them, they will never see their little girl grow up, graduate, or get married, but they know it’s only because she had a bigger purpose in life. It was time for them to prepare for the impossible: saying goodbye.
