Like most parents, the news of Keri’s second pregnancy brought a huge amount of joy into their lives. They were so excited to bring another life into the world and they started preparing for the big day. The couple was ecstatic to give their son a little brother or sister. Everything seemed normal with the pregnancy and there was no reason for them to be alarmed.
As the months passed, Keri’s belly got bigger and bigger as the baby grew inside of her. Then, one day, they went in for a routine scan around the 19-week point of the pregnancy. It was at this appointment that their excitement came to a crashing end.
