Daniel Day-Lewis is intense or intimidating in most of his roles, so it’s not a far stretch of the imagination to assume he might not be the easiest to work with. He has won no less than three Oscars for his fabulous acting, but on-set he keeps cast and crew on their toes, to say the least.
Several roles on movies he has been in had to be re-cast, as the original actors couldn’t work with Daniel. And he once forced crew members to carry him around in between takes so he could “stay in character” (his character was in a wheelchair).
