Russell Crowe is talented, but he also has a bit of a fiery personality, and not much patience. This combined with a pretty inflated ego due to a very successful career, means he’s far from fun to work with.
His bad reputation among directors and crew workers of Hollywood dates back twenty years, to the set of Gladiator. He was apparently rude to everyone, and also loudly called the script trash – but added that since he’s the best actor in the world, he could make it sound good. Yikes…
