Christian Bale did method acting before it was a thing in Hollywood. He takes every movie very seriously, and has been known to go to almost dangerous lengths to perfectly capture a character (including losing dangerous amounts of weight for The Machinist).
But, his tendency to lose himself in roles seems to make him go a little crazy. He’s been known to be moody at best, and a complete terror at worst – having meltdowns on set and yelling and cursing at directors and co-stars for the smallest reason.
