Starting from scratch wasn’t going to be easy for the jeweler because the guy who destroyed the ring wanted it to look exactly the same as it initially did. That meant the jeweler had to fire up the design software on his computer to replicate the dimensions of the original ring.
With a ring this severely damaged, it was going to be tough as the dimensions were not clear. The ring had been bent all out of shape, and the jeweler had to get creative to figure out the best way to measure out the ring.
