The ring still doesn’t exactly look like the finished article, so it’s time to use a fine sanding disc to bring out the shine of the metal. The more the sanding disc is used, the less rough the appearance of the ring will be, and it will be more like an important piece of jewelry again.
These tools help to give the ring a ‘semi-polish,’ which prepares the metal for one of the finishing stages. Once the jeweler is happy with the semi-polish the ring will be placed in a polishing machine.
