Now that the wax ring was sprued up, it was time to encase it in a flask. This is where the cast of the ring was going to be made, and it’s an essential tool when it comes to making jewelry. Soon the jeweler would be pouring a cast inside the flask to give him the exact shape of the ring.
Then the cast can be filled with melted metal, and a perfect replica created. It wasn’t quite at that stage just yet, and the jeweler had a little bit more work to do first.
